The special setup and idyllic village setting were highlights, but the mattresses felt a bit hard.

Wunderbares Gebäude mitten in Meride. Die alten Strukturen sind super schön. Innenhof, Zimmer, Balkone zum Innenhof: alles sehr schön renoviert. Ebenfalls der Eingang bei der Rezeption und die kleine Bar mit Cheminee (in der wir allerdings keinen Apero serviert bekamen und wohl selten ein Feuer brennt). Das Restaurant dagegen fand ich weniger passend (teilweise etwas industrial Design mässig), in die alten Strukturen integriert. Eher überladen opulent, keine "feine" , sondern 0815 Architektur und Deko. Das Personal ist freundlich aber recht unpersönlich und humorfrei. Essen und Frühstück ist okay, aber nicht überragend. Etwas, damit man sagen kann "so toll", fehlt einfach. Eher Durchschnitt. Keine Extrameile. 14 Punkte? Und, wenn man für einen Nespressokaffee, der man sich unten bei einer Kapselmaschine holt (Zucker hat es, Milch oder Kaffeerahm nicht) 2 Franken bezahlen soll, finde ich das so semi

We chose this hotel specifically for its spa, but after checking in we discovered that the spa is closed on Tuesdays; the staff could not change that. Knowing this beforehand would have been helpful, especially for guests booking for the spa. The restaurant was also closed on Tuesday, further limiting our stay. Breakfast was fine, but extras like eggs had to be paid separately. Overall, we were disappointed because we booked for the spa and were not informed of these restrictions in advance.
