The only thing that mattered was the location in Guimarães, but serious structural and safety problems ruined everything. The room had major maintenance failures that forced us to leave before the reservation ended: a TV mount detached from the wall, with loose anchors and tilted dangerously over the work desk. We reported this to management on 5 September, and it was ignored for almost a week with no fix. We left early, recorded the key handover on video, and paid for the 11 nights we stayed. Management refused to refund the remaining 9 nights, didn’t respond to our support, and made false retaliatory accusations. The bed frame collapsed during the night under normal use due to obvious fatigue and wear, preventing any basic rest. The shared microwave in the kitchen had severe corrosion, exposed metal plates, and peeling paint inside, creating a spark risk and food contamination danger. The lock system failed, leaving guests locked out of the building at night.
