The room was very small, the beds were tiny, and there was no point of contact at the buffet when something didn’t work—just bad luck.
The room was small but functional and clean, and the reception staff were friendly. The hotel sits right on the Oker and only a few minutes’ walk to the tram. The underground garage has wide parking spaces, a surprisingly large number of electric charging points, and a lift. For drivers who aren’t informed, the parking in front of the reception is hard to find; I’d recommend checking in online beforehand and driving straight into the underground garage with the required code. Breakfast is plentiful and varied, but you shouldn’t expect special items such as scrambled eggs, ham, or salmon. Also, there are no glass or plastic drinking glasses or toothbrush cups in the room.
“Toll”
The proximity to the city was great, but the parking search on arrival was a bit annoying.
The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and well‑located, everything was relatively new, and the parking garage was spacious with charging stations for electric cars; however, because it was warm we left the window open at night, which let the tram’s noise right outside be quite loud, though otherwise the sound insulation was good.
“Einfaches Hotel für 1-2 Nächte in Ordnung”
This simple hotel is located on the edge of the old town. The carpet in the room was a problem. Finding and entering the parking garage was a disaster. The receptionist, who was supposedly friendly, didn’t give me a hint even though I had indicated in my booking that I wanted a parking spot. There are no obvious short‑term parking spaces in front of the hotel, which is hidden from the street. So you have no chance to keep your car there and ask for the location of the garage or the entry code. If you try to call from the car while you’re desperately circling in search of the entrance, you only get an automated message from the hotel chain and no direct connection. When you finally locate the garage and want to enter, you must drive from a two‑lane, heavily trafficked road over a busy bike path and a pedestrian path. Because you don’t have a code, you end up at the barrier blocking all routes. Fortunately, a driver who was behind us and wanted to enter the garage let us in with her code.
