Macdonald Woodland Lodges at Macdonald Aviemore Resort, situated in Cairngorms National Park, offers forest views, an indoor pool, fitness room, and free WiFi. Units feature kitchenettes, satellite TVs, and private bathrooms. A children's playground, sauna, and garden are available. The lodge is close to hiking and cycling trails, with Inverness 40km away and Inverness Airport 59km away.

The location and comfort are good, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Much of the resort looks tired and could use some TLC; the kids’ park feels neglected, and the bathrooms in lodge 11 could use a freshen up. We keep coming back because we love the location.

The location was great and the facilities overall were wonderful, but the hotel feels quite dated and could use an update, especially considering the price.

The setting was peaceful, yet the carpets were poorly laid and I had to watch my step; the bedroom carpet was even ripped.

Great location for Aviemore and the wider Cairngorm area; the resort area was great and the lodge was spacious with living room, kitchenette/dining room and two fab bathrooms. Set in woodlands which was a fab location, it was quiet and relaxing. Our dog loved it as well. Staff very very helpful and courteous. I believe there is ongoing refurbs of the lodges at the resort; ours needed some refresh of the furniture and fittings in the living area and would benefit from a lodge burner when (if) fitted. It was a bit limited in terms of kitchen utilities; I appreciate some will be dining elsewhere in the resort and Aviemore itself.
