“Cozy and friendly stay that's convenient, clean and safe”

I met some wonderful friends here. The ladies are friendly, kind, and considerate, keeping everything clean. It’s one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at in any country. I made great memories and will keep in touch with a few of them forever. The location is superb—right at the Shilin night market, where you can enjoy street food and a carnival with fun, inexpensive activities. A beautiful mountain path with a temple and Zen garden is just a few minutes’ walk from the metro station, which is very convenient. I got a 40‑day gym membership at the Shilin Sports Center that included a free yoga or dance class for 1200 NTD, which was nice and worth it. There’s a Muay Thai gym nearby, and I wanted to join but was too busy. A beautiful park and a 24‑hour Carefore grocery store are also close. It’s a great place and I plan to return for a longer stay. When I first arrived I couldn’t get in because I didn’t have a key yet and couldn’t figure it out. Luckily Kevin had me wait until someone came out, and after that everything was great.

The building has three bathrooms, two of which include a toilet and shower, plus two extra shower‑only rooms, which is enough for the number of people. There’s a microwave, a drying area, and space to store personal items, all suitable. Shilin night market is right next door, and the place itself is clean with some books on the shelves. Most importantly, the location is across from the metro, with many nearby shops, and chatting with other guests was enjoyable. The downside was the roommate’s snoring—both nose and mouth—and the overlapping noise from several people was a bit too much. The kitchen smell can drift into the adjacent four‑person room if the door isn’t closed, and talking near the drying area can disturb that room; this should be noted. Also, the mattress on the semi‑independent bed didn’t feel supportive to me. Overall, the maintenance and cleanliness of the shared equipment exceeded my expectations, and I’d recommend it to others if given the chance.

The location was super convenient for me, Kevin the owner was attentive and friendly, and if God wills I’ll come back. It was also great that I could do my laundry there.

“I have great time for my experience”

I love street food in Taiwan and had plenty of free time to explore the city, so this place is a must-visit for anyone traveling here. The only downside is that the food in Taiwan can be very oily.
