Air conditioning was great, beds comfy, location excellent, staff very friendly. However, the hotel doesn't look like the pictures, though everything worked fine and the beds were comfy. Just note there's a strong smoke smell in the hallway; the rooms themselves were fine.

The location and staff friendliness were good, but it was very dirty with dust and a tobacco smell.

It was very affordable and in a central spot. However, to get to the hotel you have to climb a hill. For the price it might be okay, but if you stay many days the cleanliness will become an issue. The biggest advantage is the price.

I stayed in the middle of Shinjuku, and the heat was intense. The room smelled bad and wasn’t clean, so it felt uncomfortable, but the staff were great. Every time we checked out, they asked us to leave the key behind.
