The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and bringing my dog was no problem at all.

We arrived to find the hotel actually closed; a note directed us to where we could find a key. We were the only guests there, and breakfast was reduced to its simplest form. We would have appreciated a heads‑up that the hotel and restaurant were shut.

The breakfast had already been set up the night before, a simple but tasty spread with excellent coffee. When we arrived, the dinner rush made it hard for them to greet us since we booked last minute and they hadn’t anticipated us; understandable, though it meant we missed seeing the restaurant and garden that were all booked. The next morning I saw how beautiful the terrace was.
