The room was small but tidy, and Rick the barman was a real help—friendly and always ready to assist. The front desk staff came off as rude, and on the first day there was no shower gel in the dispenser. The bathroom fan kept breaking and required several requests before it was fixed. Housekeeping never came to refill coffee, even after we asked.

The location wasn’t the best; we expected something more central. The breakfast was the highlight, though. We were upset about paying $50 for a bag we left with the hotel for two weeks because we were traveling by motorcycle around the area. Given the price and the six nights we stayed, they should have handled the luggage issue more carefully. They shouldn’t have charged for a service that high‑end hotels normally provide for free. The housekeeping service was poor; we went three days without a clean or a towel change.

The hotel is within walking distance of the Mission ballroom. We checked in late and had trouble finding parking, so we dealt with Gil, who was very sassy and rude at night. The rest of the staff had always been great, but our experience with Gil ruined it. We won’t return; we’ll stay at CatBird from now on.

The reception staff were very friendly—shout out to Andy for being so kind and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable, exceptionally clean, modern, and well maintained. Nothing else to mention.
