Great, there’s a hot spring. It’s a bit farther away.

The staff were friendly and the outdoor onsen is pleasant. The establishment is very old and in a hard‑to‑reach spot. We found no other lodging near Ginzan Onsen except this one, but it wasn’t a very good choice.

The bath had a generous flow of water, which was nice, but the meals were disappointing – the udon was served cold, the vegetables came without any dressing, and while the presentation looked okay, it fell short of expectations.
