The place sits in a great spot, just a short walk to the temple, but the rooms feel cramped with barely any room to move; the TV and Tata Sky set‑top box were there but useless because no remote was given and the card was missing, and the lobby restaurant overcharged for vegetarian food— a masala dosa was Rs.140.00 and starters like Paneer, Mushroom, Gobi were all over Rs.300.

I asked to check in at 8 am and the front desk demanded an extra 500 even though I’d only be staying until 8 pm; they were inflexible and it felt like a blatant lack of respect, especially for a 5‑star property that usually makes exceptions.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Hotel Brigade, Srikalahasti: the room was spotless, spacious, and fully equipped with AC, fans, TV, a hair dryer, kettle, and geyser; it’s only a 5‑minute walk from the temple, which is super convenient for visitors, and the on‑site restaurant served tasty food while the staff—both hotel and restaurant—were exceptionally helpful, caring, and courteous; overall it was comfortable, enjoyable, and well‑located, though the food at the restaurant was a bit pricey.
