“Disappointed is an understatement”

The location was good. However, the photos on the booking site showed new rooms, yet we received an old, outdated, and run‑down room. I’m sure other rooms were available, as only half the parking spots in front of the new rooms were taken. They claimed to serve a continental breakfast, but the photo shows their version—definitely a rip‑off. At night I had what was called a “wagyu beef schnitzel”; it was nothing more than a dry shoe‑sole covered in a greasy crumbed jacket. My son ordered the kids’ spaghetti Bolognese, which turned out to be a big bowl of mildly warm tagliatelle with tomato sauce.

We stay there about five times a year because family is nearby, and we’ve always had a good experience. The shower head in Room 2 really needs to be replaced.

The price was great, the facilities were clean, and the continental breakfast was supplied, but the air conditioner didn’t heat the room, and there were no tissues or bottled water provided.

The location was good and the room was fine, but I suspect the government used the motel to house Housing Trust people because it felt unsafe; a man who threatened to kill someone was escorted by police, a prostitute was using a room to serve clients, homeless people roamed the premises, and the person in the room next to mine looked homeless; it seems the government resorts to this when there aren’t enough Housing Trust properties or when they’re under renovation, so I left during the night out of fear for my safety.
