The location was great, the place was very roomy and an ideal hidey‑hole with cute neighbours. It’s a house with a lot of history. We didn’t expect a mobile signal, so that was fine, but the internet was very weak and kept dropping out.

The scenery was stunning and the cottage was well‑equipped and comfy, with a breakfast spread that included farm‑fresh eggs. The host showed us around the property, feeding goats, chickens, a pig, alpacas, horses, sheep and cows, which the kids adored. It’s a great alternative to Bathurst, just 15 minutes away, and we’re already planning our next visit!

We absolutely loved staying at Winganna Farm! The cottage was gorgeous, cosy and surrounded by breathtaking scenery, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long drive. Feeding the farm animals was a highlight, and the kids were thrilled—though the adults seemed to enjoy it even more. The little touches, like electric blankets, made us feel right at home. Jen and Dave were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and happy to share farm lore. Our dogs also had a blast exploring the space. The only downside? We wish we could have stayed longer!

The host stocked the fridge with eggs and bread, and Dave gave us a tour of the farm, sharing stories about the animals and the property’s history. The kids picked eggs from the coop for breakfast, and we all had a fantastic time. My boys ranked this as #1 out of six Airbnbs we visited during our 17‑day Australian trip. A dishwasher would be a great addition.

The animals were a big hit with the kids, and Dave gave us a brief farm tour. The little extras, like milk and eggs in the fridge, were terrific, and we wish we could have stayed longer.
