The property captured the quintessential Italian vibe, yet the room was stuffy and I had to crank up the air conditioning, which is unusual for this country. The bathtub wasn’t deeply cleaned; it wasn’t filthy, but it only seemed to have been wiped down superficially.

The location, cleanliness, breakfast, service, air conditioning, and fridge were all good, and there was no noise—walking around the historic area is easy. However, the furniture needs updating, the shower is very small and uncomfortable and lacked a soap dish. Also, they charge for room cleaning per person per day, which isn’t mentioned when you buy the booking.
