“Our stay at the Hampton Inn Norfolk/Virginia Beach was generally pleasant.”
The room was clean, breakfast was fine, parking was convenient, and the location was good. The staff were mostly friendly and welcoming, especially the facilities team who greeted us warmly and made us feel at home. Their professionalism helped a lot. However, the check‑in could use improvement: one front desk associate seemed noticeably short with guests, offering minimal eye contact and very brief responses. While she wasn’t directly rude to me, her tone and demeanor toward other customers came across as impatient, leaving a less‑than‑ideal first impression. A more attentive and warm approach at check‑in would make the overall experience even stronger.
The rooms were nicely sized and clean, and the bathrooms were also generous. The building feels old, so I didn't get the Hilton vibe, but overall it's just a nice hotel.
