Mahona Boutique Hotel

The place was super nice and personalized, with only a few rooms. It was very clean, quiet, and had a beach vibe that let you truly relax. The staff were phenomenal—everyone was extremely nice, accommodating, always smiling, and carried a calmness that was very soothing.

We felt very comfortable at Mahona Boutique Hotel. The rooms were cozy, lovingly furnished, and overall very pleasant. We especially liked the quiet and relaxed atmosphere, especially in the morning. The communal pool with loungers was very cozy and inviting. Breakfast was generally good and check‑in was straightforward and relaxed. The ladies who handled breakfast and housekeeping were always friendly, diligent, and warm. Housekeeping worked well. The location was very practical; restaurants in Las Terrenas were within walking distance, and with a rental car you can easily explore beautiful spots like Las Galeras, El Limón, or various beaches. A few small things could make the stay even better. Mosquito nets over the beds would be very helpful, as we had many mosquitoes at night that disturbed our sleep. More variety at breakfast would also be nice; after ten days it was a bit monotonous to have practically the same offering every morning. A small rotating buffet or a few extra options would make a big difference. The staff were friendly and diligent, but no one spoke English at breakfast, which made communication a bit difficult. It would help if at least one person could speak some English, especially for international guests.
