Poas Volcano Lodge

“Great accommodation option!”

We found this place to be a great option for us. The main hotel block is modern and offers a reading room, a quiet area, a pool table, a restaurant, and a viewing area. Breakfast in the restaurant was wonderful, overlooking a fruit stand with squirrels and birds, and warmed by a small wooden fire. The Poas volcano was hidden for the whole stay, but I expect the view to be spectacular when it clears. The staff were all friendly and kept the large property tidy. We booked the Deluxe Room, which was spacious and had multiple heating sources for the cold nights, plus a coffee maker and pods. The bathroom had two sinks and supplied conditioner, shampoo, body wash, and lotion. It’s a great spot if you’re traveling to or from Poas Volcano, about a 25‑minute drive. The downside is that the driveway goes through a dairy farm, so it’s rough and a bit muddy at first; it gets better after that.

The staff were amazing, courteous and helpful, always present at the reception whenever we needed them. They served us lunch even though we arrived early and took care of everything from storing our luggage before check‑in to explaining the area and nearby attractions. Everything was spotless and the location is just 10 minutes from the La Paz waterfalls. The food at the restaurant is tasty and the service very pleasant. The place is also designed at a high level, making both the common areas and the private rooms comfortable to stay in. The only downside is that the menu prices at the restaurant are high.

The lodge and its surroundings are beautiful, and we enjoyed them a lot. The food at the restaurant was very good.

“Hermoso lugar para descansar”

The place is quiet and beautiful, with a lovely atmosphere that makes it perfect for relaxing. The breakfast is excellent.
