The breakfast, both in taste and its beachfront location, was nice, yet the value for money was poor and the pictures promised something different from reality.

Nothing stood out; it was completely hidden behind a bar, no privacy, and the pool was dirty with algae. The photos of the room I booked were completely different from what I found—a total different shed. The bathroom was a disaster: the toilet was in the shower, so if you needed to use the toilet after a shower you had to wade through water.

I wish I’d stayed longer; the beachfront lets you unwind and feel completely free, and the whole Hakuna crew made my time here unforgettable—definitely the best hotel in Gili ❤️🌴🇮🇩.

I was blown away by Hakuna Matata—staff were super attentive, the rooms were spacious and spotless, and the air conditioning kept everything cool; I’d definitely book again.
