The place sits in a quiet spot and you can walk straight in without any hassle. Our room was ultra‑modern, roomy and had its own bathroom, and the shared kitchen was nicely set up with a fridge you could use, plus free coffee and tea. We spent a lot of time on the huge terrace and in the big garden, especially under the lovely willow tree. Aurelie, the host, was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home.

The house itself is charming and the room was clean, but the terrace lets you hear the highway pretty clearly and the view of the wind turbines is a bit of an eyesore.

Only about a ten‑minute bike ride from the city, the spot lets you lock your own bike in a small shed. The ground‑floor “Walt” room was spacious and the air‑con was a lifesaver during the heat wave. The communal kitchen is well laid‑out, fridge easy to navigate, and you can sip a drink from the honesty bar on the terrace. Shops and a bakery are just around the corner – perfect if you want to avoid the city centre hustle. The only thing missing? A lock on the bike shed.
