“Prawdziwa perła wśród japońskich noclegów, prowadzona przez bardzo miłą właścicielkę.”
The old house sits in the middle of a bamboo garden, and from the moment you enter you feel the good spirit of the place. The owner was very, very nice, and toward the end of the stay she presented us with traditional Japanese tea. Every morning she brought a multi‑sentence breakfast that was included in the price, along with juices, coffee, and traditional Japanese tea. If you’re looking for an exclusive hotel, this isn’t the right spot. But if you’re a traveler who wants to feel Japan as much as possible, it’s the perfect, unique place for you. You can get to the city center by city bus in about 30 minutes straight from the house. Nearby is a Buddhist temple, an onsen, and opposite the onsen a atmospheric Japanese eatery. The walls are dark, the doors are sliding, so it depends on which neighbors you get. You can always sleep with earplugs. There is one toilet and one shower for about 10 people, but I never had a problem with availability. Payment is only in cash, plus a city tax of 200 yen per day per person. The rooms were a bit dusty.
