Hotel Asterix, located 700 meters from Bolzano's historic centre, features uniquely decorated rooms with murals, free WiFi, and design furniture. Completely renovated, rooms have wood floors and flat-screen TVs. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the Archeological Museum and Museum of Modern Art, and 20 minutes from Bolzano Station, with Obereggen ski slopes 20 minutes away.

The hotel is well‑situated and quiet, but the welcome was chilly and charging €30 for a two‑hour late check‑out felt excessive given the room rate.

The setting and proximity to restaurants were fine. The AC failed when it was hot at night, we stayed only one night without breakfast, and the price was quite high.
