The reception was super friendly (thanks to Frank for interrupting his work), the room was wonderfully furnished, the Sonnenallee was detailed with love, drinks were available for a small coin in the fridge, there was a tea kitchen, and the entrance area was very nice.

We stayed in the “Sherlock Holmes” room, which was thoughtfully decorated and very cozy. The bed creaked a bit but was comfortable, spacious, and freshly made. Everything was clean and tidy. The shared kitchen was well equipped with plenty of space, and the welcome was exceptionally friendly. Everything was perfect.

The room was quite small and had a typical DDR vibe (“Am kürzeren Ende der Sonnenallee”), which felt a bit odd at first but grew on me. The shower and toilet were modern, everything was spotless, and the reception was very friendly and efficient. The communal kitchen offered plenty of drinks. It was very quiet, making it a highly recommendable place for a single night. The only downside was that the room with the two bunk beds was very cramped.

We booked the Sherlock Holmes room and it was meticulously designed down to the last detail, a level of care and aesthetic I’ve never seen before in a hotel room. The space felt incredibly cozy, and I especially liked the small clothes rack inside the wardrobe that we used to air out our clothes—very handy. The location, the small kitchen stocked with drinks, the cleanliness, and the check‑in process were all flawless.
