The place was clean, in a quiet spot, easy parking, and nearby restaurants were reasonably priced; the staff who greeted us were friendly. The stairs were awkward for older folks, the shower tray lacked a door, and there was no mirror above the sink, making shaving tough; the high windows were hard to open, and the skylight couldn’t be opened either. Breakfast light was poor, and we had to be very organized to wash the breakfast dishes in the sink, because we expected a typical bed‑and‑breakfast style service.
