We booked at the last minute, so the owner was very surprised when we arrived, yet he was very kind. The room’s equipment is older but everything was clean. Since we were off‑season, the restaurant was already closed.

“A shot but intense and unforgettable stay.”

The vibe was fantastic; the guest house doubles as a restaurant and I heard traditional music while staying. I had a wonderful evening, the food was delicious, and many locals were dining there. Hasan, the owner, was very kind and helpful.

The old town is easily walkable, and the view from the window feels adventurous. There’s a spot with rubble and junk nearby—how important that is is up to you. The owner cooked for me both evenings even though the restaurant was closed, and he did it very well. You can sit comfortably in the covered garden. I was the only guest, and he and his friends took me to a concert in town, even lending me his bike. It isn’t a perfect guest house, but it has a nice personal touch.

The place was fairly clean, but the shower was terrible—water barely flowed and the controls were unresponsive, there was no internet, no mosquito nets, and overall it felt abandoned and hard to find.

Hassan is a person with a big heart, very sociable and helpful; he advised me on attractions and assisted with buying a ticket to Girne. The spot where he runs a restaurant and rents rooms is amazing, with its own special vibe. The room I received was also atmospheric, tidy, with a very comfortable bed, warm to hot water, and I felt great there. Thanks to Hassan for everything, best wishes and stay healthy. I highly recommend this place for travelers.
