“Piękne miejsce dla ośob , które latem potrafią znieść wysokie temperatury na kwaterze .”
The house on the hill is gorgeous, with original old interiors, beautiful floors, and exposed roof beams. The green space around the pool is lush, with flowers. A large shaded parking area under trees keeps it cool. It’s quiet and peaceful, and the base is good for exploring Florence, close to a shop and a pizzeria. The pool is a huge plus: big, clean, well‑maintained, with plenty of loungers and the option to lounge on the grass. There’s a ping‑pong table, a grill area, and a gazebo for outdoor meals. The first time I chose a place without air‑conditioning on a trip, and it was a huge mistake. The stay was exhausting. In the rooms the daytime temperature was about 28°C, and the fans made no difference. Coming back from a tour or the pool and entering the accommodation felt suffocating. We probably got the worst room in the property. The description said it was 60 m², but I think it was only about 45 m²: a small hallway, bedroom, kitchen where the bed was, and a very tiny bathroom with a microscopic shower that was hard to exit even sideways. The description said “view of the garden,” but the window looked at a wall and olive tree branches. There was no kettle for boiling water; only two 8‑10 L pots on the counter. While cooking, the room heated up further; a small built‑in fridge barely cooled, and the counter above it was hot, so the room was warmer than the bedroom (about 30°C). The temperature dropped only after midnight. The fans were dusty, the fridge shelf was dirty, the oven was in a similar state, and the bathroom basin was glued and only moderately clean. There were only half a roll of toilet paper and one trash bag for six days. The driveway from the main road was gravel and uneven. Entry was only on the first gear and had to be very careful. If you travel with a pet: two dogs run around the property, gentle but spiky.
