“Great hotel in the city - friendly staff and great facilities you would expect from a hotel”

Lovely pool and pool bar food was really good. Great selection of food options. Breakfast excellent and vast choice. Rooms were really excellent with views over the city. Sky bar sunset was fabulous. The sky bar was over 18 only, which meant our children missed out on the spectacular views and sunset.

The place was clean and the staff polite, but there weren’t many Filipino foods on the breakfast buffet.

The area was good, and after a complaint I was given a bottle of wine even though a bottle of champagne was promised in the room; the front desk was unfriendly at check‑in, it felt rushed to swipe the credit card and hand over the key instead of a warm welcome, and the website said a complimentary ice‑cream would be given but it wasn’t; when I asked the manager they said it was already over. I had emailed and was promised champagne with a priority upgrade, but that never happened. The rate of $1,300 for a small suite is not worth it, especially with 10 to 15 people waiting in line; I told them I was not even a first‑time traveler to the Philippines and they still declined.

I recently stayed at Solaire and I want to thank the whole team for an exceptional experience. I was blown away by the staff’s effort; I had only asked for pancakes or dessert, but they surprised me with wine and balloons. That extra level of care and thoughtful presentation really touched us. The attention to detail, genuine hospitality, and willingness to go the extra mile made our stay unforgettable. Thank you, Solaire, for such a wonderful gesture. We’ll definitely come back!
