Stayed right in the heart of Gorica, in a historic building. The breakfast was tasty and served in a lovely garden, which was a nice touch. The beds were only average, and the bathroom was shared, which was a bit inconvenient.

Loved the garden and the charming vibe of the town. It felt like a family-run place, which added to the cozy atmosphere.

The spot was spot-on, right in the middle of Berat, and the place had a lot of character. Value for money was solid. But the host was a bit odd—had to pay right away and the price was higher than listed. The welcome felt a bit cold, as if we were intruding even though we booked well in advance. He even cut the AC because it was “too much energy,” which made us feel watched. No curtains or blinds meant it was bright early, and there were no window coverings at all.

We felt like family when Lorenc welcomed us, and the food and entertainment he arranged were fantastic. The only downside was the steep steps, which could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues.

As an experienced traveler, I was disappointed from the start. Lorenc met me outside his hostel in the rain, pointing to a far‑off parking spot that was a tough walk with luggage and pricey. I tried to explain that parking was supposed to be free and onsite, but he got angry and told us to cancel. He seemed to have no interest in hosting guests, and he even shut the door on us. We spent an hour scrambling for another place with breakfast on a Saturday night.
