Toni was a lovely host at Eco Scapes and the food was delicious, though the portions were a bit too generous! We’ll definitely come back next time.

“Absolutely amazing, the best there is.”

Absolutely amazing place to stay. It’s the most spectacular spot we’ve ever stayed at and totally worth the trip. The staff were pleasant and really enhanced the overall experience. The hot tub at sunset overlooking the lake is a must! I’d love to return someday. Nothing at all to complain about; there’s nothing not to love about this place.

The place looks gorgeous and feels super cozy. Breakfast was a treat and the hosts were easy to talk to.

The tiny cabins blend nicely into the natural scenery, and the orientation spot takes advantage of the view over Lake Wakatipu. The bed and lounge area are comfy, and the rooms stay clean with thoughtful extras like an insect cream dispenser and organic teas. The on‑site café serves good coffee and the staff are friendly. It’s close to nice walks such as Lake Sylvan and a solid base for day hikes on the Routeburn Track. The bathroom feels cramped and badly planned, and the “smoked” salmon on the menu isn’t the same as the canned salmon on toast.
