“No privacy”
The villa was clean by Bali standards and fairly new, and I liked the interior. However, I booked expecting a private pool and yard, as the listing claimed, but the complex actually has three villas—only one with a separate yard and a very small pool meant for kids. The other two share a common yard and pool, which is the one shown most often in photos, so I ended up sharing that space with strangers, not what I had imagined. The yard is a transit area for the private‑pool villa residents, and the staff can enter anytime because the doors never lock. It felt more like a homestay, and I could have found a cheaper homestay with shared yard. Also, next to the villa yard there's a hole in the wall leading to a neighborhood trash area; the staff burns trash, including plastic, during the day, and the smell was awful.
