The lodge sits inside the National Park, and all daily fees are covered by the lodge at the end of our stay. The food, staff, and wildlife were wonderful, and we could see both sunrise and sunset on site.

Great location, river views, evening firepit, 2 x safaris per day included, wild dogs, leopards, lions, meals included (all good), great hosts (thank you Frank and Sabine), great communication during booking and prior to arrival, wonderful staff. Hopefully return with my wife before too long. Loved it all. If I had one recommendation, it would be to sell some branded merch eg sunhats, t-shirts, fleeces, fridge magnets, whatever, so we can advertise back home 'Ooooh, Msandile River Lodge? Where's that.?' Perhaps they already do, we didn't actually ask. Or not. Because who needs the cost/hassle of organising that, right?

The location was fantastic, the food superb, and the excursions great; everyone was very friendly. Wild nature combined with high comfort, well organized, and excellent value for money. I would have preferred to pay with a credit card immediately instead of converting currencies.

The lodge is truly gorgeous by the river, with a lovely pool from which we saw elephants playing in the water. The room was very comfortable and the care was meticulous. The food was fantastic—tasty, varied, and always plentiful. The owners, the manager, and the whole team are extremely friendly and always ready to help; no request is too much. The game drives were amazing; I can’t find words to describe how beautiful the area is and how much wildlife we saw. Our guide Isaac was outstanding—knowledgeable, the best driver, and always found the perfect spot to observe the animals. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the holiday was and I recommend it to everyone. Frank, Sabine, Chloe, Isaac, and the Msandile team, thank you for everything. I felt very welcome and would love to come back. I can’t think of any shortcomings.

The Msandile Lodge turned out to be an extraordinary place to unwind for us, with a warm and welcoming reception. The lodge sits beautifully beside the river, and the scenery is just as stunning. The game drives were highly professional, and my daughter’s needs were asked about and met. Thank you, we’ll definitely return!
