“Decadent and comfortable family accommodation, situated in a former English Officer's Quarters. Cosy”

We stayed in a former English Officer's Quarters that felt decadent and cozy, with comfortable bedrooms and a lounge that had a fireplace; everything was within walking distance of downtown Nuwara Eliya, Victoria Park, and the local market. The breakfast buffet at the neighboring hotel was wonderful, and the staff were incredible hosts throughout our stay. We only got to enjoy it for one night, so we wish we could have stayed longer.

Small, personal, warmly welcoming and helpful, truly customer‑focused and friendly. The colonial building feels like home. Host Shakeeb ensures a pleasant stay and answers all questions. The cozy living room with a fire lit after a rainy afternoon is delightful. Some parts, like the bathroom, might seem a bit old‑fashioned or basic, but that’s part of its charm. It’s clean, the water pressure is good, and the hot water works well.

“Casa colonial”

An English colonial house with charm, very spacious, and a fireplace that can be lit for a cool night. Breakfast is abundant—you never run out. If you leave early, they prepare a picnic to take away, which is appreciated. The staff are very attentive and always available. You can walk to the center in about 10 minutes, though the path is uphill and poorly lit, even though it’s not far from the center.
