The location was great and I spent a relaxed time there. The only unavoidable thing was the warning sounds that play to protect animals; at first it was scary, but I got used to it.
We loved the view, the jacuzzi, and the house itself. The view could be enjoyed from inside or outside, and the nearby creek’s sound was very calming. It was great that the hosts could arrange transport for us. Some kitchenware hadn’t been used in a while and needs a deep clean or replacement, but there was enough to get by.

The cottage was lovely, well decorated, and fully equipped. We adored the breathtaking view, the jacuzzi, and the setting with orange trees and a water stream. The cottage was super comfortable and had all the gear for a BBQ (at an extra cost). We enjoyed staying in this non‑touristy area; the landscapes were stunning, the local onsens lovely, a waterfall 5 minutes away, and rice fields nearby – truly a gem. The kitchen could have been cleaner, especially the fridges that were dirty. The cottage is very remote, so you need to bring all the food you’ll need before heading up. The nearest store is 20 minutes by car, and you’ll need a small car because the road is very narrow. If you like quiet, you’ll love the place; it feels like you’re alone in the world and could be a bit scary or spooky for others.
