“Médiocre à fuir”
The staff was only two people, and there were animals around. The experience was frankly deplorable and a huge disappointment. The hotel’s overall condition doesn’t match the price or the claim of a 4‑star “palace.” From the moment we arrived, the welcome was mediocre: no smiles, little friendliness, nothing warm, setting a bad tone immediately. In the room, the situation was worse: hair on the floor, dirty toilets, stale and old smell, broken or damaged old furniture, peeling paint, worn woodwork, and wall cracks. In the bathroom, we even found a half‑dead cockroach. Of the three light fixtures, only one worked. The bedding was terrible: hard, uncomfortable mattresses and pillows. The air‑conditioning worked but made a horrible noise. The windows were single‑pane and the room overall felt neglected for a long time. Wi‑Fi didn’t work. Outside, the pool area was poorly maintained: rust, missing or incomplete water access equipment, many cracked pavers, holes and visible damage to the complex walls. Even more concerning was an unsecured construction zone open to guests. Seeing a new building under construction while existing ones are in such bad shape is incomprehensible; it would be better to renovate the current buildings before expanding. The food was another let‑down: it felt very industrial, tasteless vegetables, and overall poor quality. Breakfast was also very mediocre.
