The spot by the water was lovely, and the beach‑front bistro served breakfast, dinner, and cocktails; everything on the property was nice, the room was clean and comfortable, and there was a small shaded pool. However, I felt the hotel was overpriced compared to other places I’ve stayed, and aside from the rooms, beach, and bistro, there wasn’t much else—especially the check‑in area, which seemed to be a converted storage container.

The bed was very comfortable, and Mimi’s bar and restaurant were convenient additions, with breakfast included. The room was small, tired, and had a garden view that felt closed in; it was on the main walkway, so we heard constant noise. It’s a 35‑minute walk to the centre, which we enjoy, but some of the walk is on the road and not safe at night.

Tara’s lodge was the perfect place to stay, right on a gorgeous pebble beach with a beautiful view, and a short taxi ride to Old Town and Lumbarda. The staff were all kind and helpful, and the included breakfast and service at Mimi’s were exceptional.

The location was great, though the view in the pictures is the best they have, so set expectations accordingly unless you’re paying for the best room. People at the hotel were great; the food was okay, a bit overpriced, but I understand the proximity. We preferred some nearby restaurants slightly more. There was an insect issue in spots—not a huge deal, but if you expect a 4/5‑star hotel, this isn’t it. We had more than 5‑10 “friends” visit us, but they were laid back and didn’t mind.
