Everything was great, especially Jojo’s friendliness and energy; he’s a truly special person and an amazing host who does wonderful things for the community and travelers.

I really appreciated the host’s courteous, helpful service and warm welcome. The place itself is charming, with a beautiful setting decorated with images of the orixás that gives the space a strong cultural identity. However, the cleanliness was disappointing: the bathroom had a bad odor, the toilets were dirty, and the shower area was in poor condition, with a dirty soap dish and no refills. The sheets smelled like cigarette smoke. Additionally, the hot water didn’t work properly and basic comforts were missing. The food was unsatisfactory, seeming reheated, the beans looked old, and the sausage was in poor condition, all of which spoiled the overall experience.

Joca greeted me that evening and was extremely kind and attentive; he explained the vibe of the lodge and walked me through every detail of the space, which is very unique and lively. The lodge is also close to the beach.
