It was just a place to sleep for the night; the bed seemed somewhat clean, the room was quiet, and it was close to good restaurants and an event I attended. However, empty liquor bottles were at the bottom of the stairs to the room, weed odor filled the hall constantly, the bathroom had mold on the walls and the shower was broken, and the room needed major repairs in many areas. The first room we were offered smelled of stale cigarettes, and the front desk was difficult to deal with when we mentioned the shower; they seemed indifferent. I stayed there last year and the room wasn’t fancy but was decently clean and reasonably priced; this year was a completely different story—won’t return, maybe a different owner?
