“Good food and staff, but a tough location”
The breakfast was decent and the staff were friendly, but the hotel sits far from the center and you have to tackle a long uphill walk to get there. On top of that, the box door was stuck and wouldn’t close properly.
“Spectacular views, but access and upkeep need work”
Being up on the higher part of town gave us gorgeous panoramic views of Rio Lençóis, and the staff were very kind and the place stayed clean; the basic breakfast was simple but tasty. The steep, risky stairs to the upstairs rooms, ongoing construction, and lousy parking/signage made getting around a pain, and one of the kids’ rooms had a shower that never warmed up despite asking the owner to fix it.
