“A Mediterranean Gem”
This tiny hotel feels like a hidden treasure, with only six beautifully appointed rooms inside a repurposed ancient industrial furnace. The owners, who handled all the renovations themselves, clearly had great vision and impeccable taste. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and on our final morning we asked for a generous “breakfast to go” because we had to leave before the usual service. We could stroll to the beach and a nearby restaurant. I booked a fantastic massage at their spa. Even though traffic in Castellammare di Stabia was heavy, we still enjoyed day trips to Pompeii and Sorrento, and the hotel’s location a bit outside the town center was fine. Free, secure parking was a real plus, and we also liked relaxing in the courtyard. When using Google Maps or Waze, it’s better to type the hotel’s name rather than the street address, because the address didn’t match exactly. Unfortunately we couldn’t dine in their charming restaurant because the chef had a medical emergency and the place was closed during our stay.
