We loved the peace and quiet, the beautiful grounds, and the two dogs enjoyed roaming around our own private space; we can’t wait to go back.

“Really wonderful stay and we are looking forward to going back”

Private and very well equipped, a very peaceful break in a wonderful setting. The bird feeder was amazing for attracting wildlife right to us, and the great fire pit and outdoor kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and enjoy nature. A bit more lighting in the room itself would be great; the flicker lamp was amazing for atmosphere but some solid lighting would be handy for practical things like packing/unpacking instead of using a torch.

“This is now my happy place and I will be returning as often as I can”

Where do I start? We have stayed in many lovely places around the world, but the hobbit house and secret garden is on another level. From the second you walk through the door you are in your own private world. The fountain area is a sun trap surrounded by a mix of different fruit trees. The garden is beautiful; it looks like a wild garden, but if you really look you can see it is very lovingly cared for. The hobbit house is so nice and the bed is one of the comfiest I have slept in. The toilet and shower are so private you can leave the curtain and the door open if you like; no one can see you. The kitchen area has everything you could need. My husband loved cooking on the open fire and then chilling in the hammock. If you’re looking for somewhere to switch off, escape the world and calm your mind, this is definitely the place. Bring your food and your towel, lock the door and unplug. Absolutely nothing; if I could rate it more than 5 stars I would. It is a 10. Every review is 100% right. The only downside is having to leave.
