Hotel Deutscher Kaiser is situated on the Trave River banks in Travemünde, 900 metres from the Baltic Sea coast. The hotel features a sauna, terrace, and free WiFi. Rooms offer cable TV, a desk, and private bathroom, with some providing river or sea views. A hearty breakfast is served in a bright room, with free tea and coffee available.

The breakfast was extremely good and left no room for wishes; we especially want to thank the breakfast staff for their outstanding friendliness and attentiveness. We would have liked to find a drink in the fridge—whether alcoholic or non‑alcoholic—but the fridge was unfortunately completely empty.

Nice staff and very clean, but the only entrance is through an old, winding passage that takes a long walk and several stairs to reach the room. The room itself is tiny, with a slanted ceiling over the bed that makes it impossible to lean against, and the “view” is just a wall of the building.

Friendly staff, plenty of breakfast, and the place is super clean. The downside is that the room is a bit noisy; we could hear the TV from the neighboring room.

The staff is very courteous, and this is already my third stay at Hotel Deutscher Kaiser. The only issues were with cleanliness and comfort.
