The houses around the pool are nice and the view is good, and the spot is perfect for starting a sunrise walk; Annga helped us arrange a private guide. However, it’s a 20‑minute drive from the village and restaurants, so walking isn’t an option, and the area has a lot of flies.

The location is great for launching a hike up Mt Batur, but the pool was too cold otherwise it was lovely; breakfast was very good, the staff were super friendly, and the evening around the brazier was enjoyable. The only downside was the cold pool.

The place was neat and clean, a beautiful bungalow with a garden and mountain view. It’s right at the start of the climb to Mt Batur, or just a quiet getaway if that’s what you want. The staff were great and offered to pick us up from the natural hot springs on his motorbike, which was very kind. The only complaint is the flies, which are normal in the Kintamani area.
