The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and they carried our bags all the way up the top without even asking us—very nice! The place itself was lovely, and there was nothing to criticize.

It felt like the epitome of an English inn, but the rooms were a surprise how really upscale and lovely they were. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. It was close to the cruise port, which was why we chose it, but we would choose it again on its merits alone. It was all great, really, but some members of our party weren't expecting English pub dining when we ate at the inn. Just know what you're ordering so you're not surprised. That said, the food was good, just different from expectation

We had a lovely stay at The Pig in Southampton; the staff were friendly, chatty, and accommodating, making us feel very welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. A big thank you to the whole team for looking after us so well, and I would happily recommend it—just don’t tell everyone 😘.
