The room was big and felt pretty welcoming, and the place was spotless with all the gadgets promised in the listing. Getting there was straightforward thanks to the good location, though it does sit a little way out from central Brussels. The only downside was that the host asked us to leave quite early in the morning.

I never actually got into the apartment because the host pulled the booking at the last minute. After that, I had to chase them for a refund and it took several weeks before the money finally showed up.

The room was clean and quiet, which made for a solid night’s sleep, and the neighbourhood was nice—peaceful yet close to shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, the shower wouldn’t heat up, so I had to take a cold rinse.
