“You get what you pay for, very very basic and needs work done to it”
The location was good, but the building was run down and the air‑con was so bad I had to switch it off.

Right in the heart of the main street, a short walk takes you to riverside eateries. The building feels old‑school and has no elevator, so if you’re on the top floor you’ll climb a lot of stairs. The rooms are basic and the staff speak limited English, but it’s fine for a single night. The price matches the simplicity of the property, and the location is handy for a quick overnight stop; it isn’t spectacular, but if you keep expectations modest there’s no complaint.

The room is plain yet fully equipped, even offering a fridge, two water bottles, towels, toiletries, a private bathroom, a well‑working air‑conditioner, and a TV. It’s clean, and the bed and pillow are comfortable. We stayed just one night before catching a slow boat, and the front desk kept the crew‑issued travel documents for us, which was very convenient. The only downside is the lack of an elevator; that wasn’t an issue for us, but it might be for others.

The room was impressively clean and well‑furnished. A convenience store on the ground floor is very handy, and there are several restaurants nearby. A photo spot is close by, and the Mekong river walking and cycling trail is also within walking distance. The receptionist barely looked us in the eye when we checked in—perhaps she was having a rough day. The Chinese guests in the room next door were noisy and spoke loudly until late at night, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.

The spot worked well for us because we used public transport the next day, and a 7/11 next door was a big plus. The room was roomy, with a large double bed, a table, and two chairs. A balcony overlooking the main street added charm. Towels and shower gel were provided, and the fridge and Wi‑Fi were temperamental. Hot water and coffee were available on the landing, and the staff were friendly.
