The Toll House Inn, a historic building, overlooks Lancaster Canal and is just metres from shops and restaurants. It offers free Wi-Fi, a bar, and a restaurant serving seasonal cuisine made with locally sourced produce. Each room features air conditioning, a flat-screen digital TV, and a power shower. The inn is 10 minutes' walk from Lancaster Train Station and 650 metres from Lancaster Castle.

The staff were genuinely friendly, the décor was great, and the bed was very comfortable. I appreciated the refillable shower gel for sustainability, though it could have been offered a bit more often.

Breakfast was outstanding, the bar area was lovely, and the staff were friendly and attentive; the location makes walking around Lancaster a breeze.

The staff were amazing, everything felt welcoming, and the food was good; the rooms were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern, but there was a lot of mild water in the shower that needed attention, and the hot‑water tap in the sink didn’t work; I mentioned this so maintenance could be notified.
