Only a few metres away from the Sonnenkopfbahn cable car, T3 Gasthof Spullersee is located just off the S16 motorway in Wald am Arlberg. It offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. The staff attitude was bad! I had requested two separate beds when booking, but the hotel messed it up, and when I asked about it, their attitude was poor; the shower drain was clogged.

The staff tried to make up for the shortcomings. It felt like a typical bus overnight hotel; neither the location right on the street nor the hotel’s facilities invited you to stay longer. The best years of this hotel are behind it.

Being long‑distance hikers, the hotel’s location worked out great for us, though as a holiday resort it would be too loud with the main road and motorway nearby. The building feels a bit old‑fashioned.

The hotel sits in a peaceful haven, quiet and serene, with a stunning mountain view right across the window. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was perfect!
