The reception and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and bed were very comfortable. The bar downstairs is handy for food but can get busy on a Saturday (book ahead!). They warn about their nightclub being loud, but both Friday and Saturday nights in October were fine for us—maybe summer is worse? (They even provide earplugs in the room if needed!) The cooked breakfast options were good. Nothing to complain about.

The location was good. I didn’t know there was no lift and when checking in we couldn’t switch to a first‑floor room. My father‑in‑law, who is not great on his feet, had a hard time going up two flights of stairs.

The welcome was excellent, with a very helpful receptionist and easy parking. The room exceeded all expectations, spotless and beautifully decorated. The food, both in the evening and at breakfast, was great. The restaurant staff were pleasant and the atmosphere was good. Nothing to complain about.
