Nothing. When we got to the room, it looked about 20 years older than the photos shown. I noticed there were no blankets on the bed and began to check cupboards to find some. The one I found was shoved into a cupboard in the bedroom with horrible, new stains all over it. I got in contact with the person I had been talking to who assisted in getting me into the room and she provided a different apartment a couple blocks away and said it was an upgrade. When I got there, it was even worse than the first. Again, dirty linens, no outlets worked, the apartment itself was out dated and gross. I ended up getting a hotel elsewhere and am still waiting on my refund request. This place alone made me a believer in hotels and I will NEVER attempt to rent a room or apartment again.

The air conditioning does not cool, the filter looks super clogged, the bathroom extractor is also full of dust and makes a lot of noise.

The spot is great and right in the city centre, the room is roomy for the area and the decor is cool. The background hum of the city isn’t a big deal for us, even though it’s a bit noisy. The hosts left clear directions before we arrived. On the downside, there are no amenities; they only have a coffee and tea maker but don’t supply any drinks. Communication is slow – when we asked for extra cleaning or toilet paper, the reply took a while. The bed and pillows feel like rocks, and the duvet was filthy, so we slept without it and woke up cold. The shower is tiny and designed so water will splash onto the floor no matter how careful you are; the door swings like an old Western saloon door, which is baffling. We ran out of soap and toilet paper after just two days, even though we barely stayed there, and the hosts don’t come daily to restock. The TV only had Italian cable; no Chromecast or streaming option, no soap dish in the bathroom, and the toiletries are just a 2‑in‑1 body/hair wash. Overall, it feels like a place to shower and sleep, and both were just okay. For the price they charge, I expected better quality and value.

It’s close to the centre. The building itself is a nice historic structure.
