The location is excellent, and the staff were very friendly. However, the bedroom below the breakfast and bar area is extremely noisy from every step on the upper floor, every chair back, every movement—especially loud from 06:00 am, with no soundproofing at all.

The staff were always smiling, kind, and made us feel comfortable; sharing breakfast with people from various countries at the same table was truly wonderful and the highlight of my trip. The only issue was the stairs to the room after a long day of walking, which were tough, and the shower booth was very narrow with weak water pressure, but otherwise everything was great.

Breakfast was superb, made to order by an excellent chef, and the hotel’s spot on Piazza della Signoria was probably the best in Florence. Unfortunately, the elevator was always out of service, so climbing two or three flights of stairs could be difficult for some guests.

Mateo welcomed us warmly and answered all our questions; breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented; the room was wonderful, and the location was beyond perfect. There was nothing to dislike.
