“A bird's eye view of the Puerto de la Cruz... and quite a climb!🤭”

We spent a whole week in the property and wow what an experience it was. First of all -- you are booking the whole holiday house, which is pretty big for a couple. It is one of the two houses on the same piece of land that are up for rent, so you're not fully alone there. Still the privacy is there. Damian is a super-friendly host, showed us all around and told us everything we needed to know. Second of all -- the house is located on a steep hill, and whichever means of transport you use, you will have to climb🤭 Nice leg exercise and a nice 25% slope for an entertaining car drive. There is a dedicated car parking spot on the property. The house itself has everything you might need: a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom with a tub, a washing machine and fast WiFi + TV with local channels. This is a perfect romantic place to stay if you don't mind the slope. Terrific views. Minor annoyances, but nevertheless worth mentioning. -no sugar in the kitchen -no laundry capsules/powder -one morning we saw what we assume was a stray dog on the property, it ran off shortly after

The only thing that impressed us was the view. Everything else was terrible. The property advertised a check‑in from 11:30, yet guests were allowed to check‑out until 11:00. How could they guarantee a 11:30 arrival when the previous guests were still leaving? That alone should have raised doubts about how the place was run. Still, we booked because we wanted to give my wife and little daughter a few days in northern Tenerife, and we didn’t want to let that detail stop us. We arrived around 13:00 after climbing a steep slope—so a suitable vehicle would have helped—and parked in front of the house. Before we even finished getting out of the car, a woman in very rude tones told us to leave because it was a private property. We explained we had a reservation, and she seemed surprised. She spoke in a hard‑to‑understand mix of Spanish and French, saying the house wasn’t ready and that we’d have to return about two hours later. We were traveling with a small child and our dogs, who had already been in the car for about an hour and a half. It was completely unacceptable that the advertised check‑in time wasn’t respected. Later, Damien, one of the owners, appeared and tried to fix the situation. Instead of letting us in right away, he started showing us the outside of the property, telling us about its history—built in 1822—and pointing out a rear terrace that was basically empty, with no loungers or umbrellas. The state of neglect and lack of maintenance in the outdoor areas was obvious.

The area is peaceful, the nature is lovely, and the host was very friendly and kind.

“Quiet - Basic but comfortable and suited us perfectly!”

The accommodation is basic but exactly what we needed, and it’s also quiet with a great view! It was exactly as expected, so there’s not much to criticize.
