We’ve stayed here many times over the years and it’s always clean and easy to get to; the car parks are good and it’s walking distance to the Robin Hood Hotel for a meal and a cold drink. The only thing I can fault is that there could be a large mirror on the wardrobe door, as there is only one in the bathroom.

The room under the stairs had no place to sit outside, and that’s all.

Everything was clean, the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the vending machines offered snacks and drinks.

I appreciated the regular‑size towels; I normally get the oversized bath sheets. However, they didn’t provide a tea towel for drying the cups, and a standard toilet brush would have been expected.
